Committee: Certification
Committee Chair: Jennifer Lange, PHR, certification@hraci.org
Key Responsibilities: Design and coordinate the structured 9-week
HRACI PHR/SPHR certification study group program for exempt level
HR persons to prepare for the PHR/SPHR certification exam. Potential
volunteers include: current PHR/SPHR certified individuals to facilitate
(instruct) a unit/class, persons to direct/monitor/oversee a class,
and/or those interested in becoming the next Director of Certification.

Key Responsibilities: Coordinate all professional development activities
including seminars, workshops and other events for the chapter membership.
Provide a variety of programs for the memberships that are pertinent
to current HR issues.

College and Community Relations
Committee Chair: Scott Kincaid, SPHR, education@hraci.org
Key Responsibilities: Develops and coordinates career development
opportunities for members including mentoring programs. Promote
membership volunteer involvement in community volunteer organizations.
Promote Groundhog Participate in one or more job fairs and work
with local college student chapters.

Key Responsibilities: Focus on securing sponsors for monthly luncheon
meetings; promote website advertising, and developing new marketing
strategies for HRACI.

Key Responsibilities: Produce monthly e-newsletter for HRACI members
and to provide assistance to local media by connecting them with
HR Specialists who will offer an HR perspective to their articles.
Develop plan to increase public awareness of HRACI. Establish
relationships
with local media. Develop plan and ideas in order to serve as a
resource to the community or local media on HR issues.

Key Responsibilities: Increase member awareness of area diversity
resources. Improve member knowledge and skills on the business need
for diversity and enhance HRACI’s community visibility in
diversity.

Key Responsibilities: Recruit new members and retain current members
by creating a welcoming and nurturing environment in which members
can network and learn together.

Key Responsibilities: Monitors and communicates, on a continuing
basis, pending legislative, regulatory and legislative action at
the federal, state and local level which may have an impact on the
management of human resources and employee benefits. Encourage active
participation in the legislative process among chapter members.

Volunteer Management
Committee Chair: Tami Murphy, volunteers@hraci.org
Key Responsibilities: Recruit new and existing HRACI members and
encourage them to become more active in their membership by volunteering
for a committee or participating in other valuable volunteer opportunities.
Goals: Work on recognition of volunteers for their efforts and
communicating
it to the membership. Identifying additional volunteer opportunities.

Interest Group: Staffing Management Association
Committee Chair: Lisa Helms, sig@hraci.org
Key Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of SMA (formally
EMA) is to provide additional learning, resources and networking
events for those involved in this critical part of
Human Resources. One of the goals of this committee is to keep
the momentum and continue to get the word out about the group.
We also
will target new sponsors so we can bring cutting edge topics to
the Indianapolis market.

Special
Interest Group: HR Consultants
Committee Chair: Lisa Helms, sig@hraci.org
Key Responsibilities: HR Consultants was formed in late 2006 as
a forum for independent consultants. The group focuses on issues
related to the success of their various specialties. Please stay
tuned to the HRACI site for future presentations.
